Whether you’re bringing a whole class of students or visiting with a group of 10 or more friends, one of our many tour options will enrich your experience at MIM. For groups of fewer than 10 people, scheduled Orientation Tours do not require reservations.

Join one of our museum guides on an Orientation Tour where you will see, hear, and travel the world through music. Guests can drop in for a 30–45 minute tour and see fascinating instruments on display in three of MIM’s major Geographic Galleries: Africa, Asia, and Latin America. This complements the self-guided experience.

ADULT GROUP TOURS
Available for groups ranging in size from 10 to 120 our guided tour offers an overview of the world’s music, focusing on cultures in each geographical region of the world. You will also have time to visit the galleries more extensively at your own pace before or after the tour. The self-guided tour allows groups to explore MIM galleries at their own pace. With easier check-in, groups can take time exploring the Geographic, Artist, Mechanical, and Experience Galleries.
Join a specially trained museum guide on a one-hour tour of MIM through places not accessible to the general public. Get a behind-the-scenes look at our collection, the MIM Music Theater, and more. There is also personal time to explore the galleries before or after your tour.
