Melinda Xanthos is the managing partner for the Phoenix office of KPMG LLP. KPMG is a global audit, tax, and advisory firm that operates in over 150 countries. Xanthos is an audit partner and primarily serves clients in the areas of technology and industrial markets. She has thirty years of experience with KPMG, providing financial statement audit, audit of internal control, and performance improvement services. During her tenure with KPMG, she has worked in both the Orange County (California) and Phoenix (Arizona) offices.
Xanthos has provided audit services to several large multinational companies. Her experience ranges from mergers and acquisitions and SEC filings to carve-out financial statements and initial public filings. She has been an audit partner for more than nine public companies in the Phoenix market, as well as for several private companies in the real estate and healthcare industries.
Xanthos is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, where she received her bachelor of business administration degree with a focus in accounting. She is passionate about the success of women in business and actively mentors women in several KPMG offices. She is a member of the Women’s Advisory Board for KPMG, which advises the company on female diversity matters. She is also cochair for Women Corporate Directors in Arizona. She has served on the board of the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants and as a member of the Accounting and Auditing Advisory Committee for the Arizona State Board of Accountancy.
