Behind the Lens With Pattie Boyd and Henry Diltz offers a fascinating romp through a transformative era of popular culture. Produced and presented by the Morrison Hotel Gallery’s Peter Blachley, Rich Horowitz and Timothy White, Behind the Lens features the work of acclaimed music photographer Henry Diltz and ’60s It Girl Pattie Boyd, who often jumped behind the camera when she wasn’t busy modeling or inspiring classics like “Something” or “Layla.” Henry Diltz has documented the Southern California Laurel Canyon music scene more extensively than anyone. In this live presentation of still and moving images, he will share the stories behind the 400,000 images in his archive—and the 400-plus album covers he shot, from James Taylor to The Doors. Pattie Boyd is “The Muse” of a generation with songs like “Something” and “Layla” written about her. She has documented her glamorous life in photographs and stories which she will present for the first time in a live setting. As part of this special exhibit, Henry Diltz will debut never-before-seen fine art prints of his recent photo session with Glen Campbell in Nashville this past June. Both Diltz and Boyd will tell stories related to their works as a multimedia presentation of still and moving images is presented on stage.Back to Concerts
